We welcome you to Allium. An intimate culinary concept led by Chef Luke Sanderson.

An experience, which allows you to become truly immersed in delicious flavour and fragrance. You’ll enjoy new ingredients and exciting flavour combinations, and either relish the theatre of watching your chefs at work in our intimate dining room or enjoy a more private experience in the Wine Room.

The Experience

Our service is attentive. And our offering is specialist and unique. The Allium Tasting Menu is an exciting 6 course journey, which is served to only 14 guests across our Dining Room and Wine Library, from Wednesday-Saturday.

All guests are asked to arrive at 7pm, and our Chef will create your courses methodically. All guests will be served in unison.

Eight guests can be seated in our Dining Room. Your party will have its own table in direct view of the open kitchen, where you’ll be able to relax and watch our Chef at work.

6 guests will be able to enjoy their menu in the privacy of the Wine Library where you’ll be dining at the communal table.

Both rooms can be hired individually for exclusive use.

Chef Luke Sanderson

“Food is an intrinsic part of my life. From standing in the kitchen with my Grandma, to travelling the world to perfect my craft, it’s a passion that has no bounds. The creative freedom that comes with my work, and the impact that I can make on a guest is like no other feeling in the world.” – Chef Sanderson.

After college, Luke ignited his career by travelling Europe to train with talented chefs in both Spain and Italy before returning to Yorkshire to create in the kitchens of Hudsons’, within The Grand York.

His reputation and skillset took Luke to the final of the Chaine Des Rotisseurs Young Chefs Competition in 2017. And he joins us now from the AA Rosette awarded restaurant, The Pheasant in Harome.

A talented chef who continually pushes boundaries with dynamic taste profiles, Luke has created an exceptional experience for you at Allium, that is nothing short of captivating.

About Our Menu

Allium is a set price of £80.00 per person.

We serve a set tasting menu, and we are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements. Dishes cannot be amended, but guests are of course welcome to miss certain dishes.

There is a minimum age requirement of 12 years old to dine at Allium. And, please note that we don’t offer a children’s menu.
