Tempa di Zoè, Fiano Asterias Campania Fiano IGT

75cl

Asterìas means starfish in Greek. It is the company’s first white wine, and is made from Fiano grapes. The star symbolizes guiding light, but it also speaks of the inspiration that comes from Monte Stella, a massif in Cilento National Park that towers 1131 metres above sea level. Its peak looks down on the vineyard, nestled between the mountain and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

TASTING NOTES

Delicate scents evoking mature stone fruit, toasted hazelnut, Mediterranean brush and citrus zest. Elegantly structured palate, a bitter-almond note underscores acacia honey, ripe yellow peat and fennel while a sea brine note closes the finish.

Pairings

It pairs excellently with baked fish or salt crusted fish. Ideal with both main courses and side dishes, but also with fresh cheeses.

Tempa Di Zoe

THE MAKER: TEMPA DI ZOE

The name Tempa di Zoè does not only refer to a physical place but is above all a declaration of intent. The "tempe", gentle hills that run after the sea, characterise Cilento from north to south.
Tempa di Zoè was founded with a single goal of calling new attention to a land that is naturally excellent for wine. Cilento's soil was formed by the sea, under the sea. The flysch of Cilento is a strong, alkaline soil, perfect for cultivating the vines. It gives the grapes a unique personality.
