Tenuta Argentiera, Opheliah Maria Bolgheri Superiore DOC

Bright ruby red color. Just opened it surprises for its rich bouquet reminding the Mediterranean macchia, above all juniper and myrtle, well rooted on a cocoa beans background. Progressively it develops its fruity nature, ruled by fresh red berries and afterwards by a hint of dried bell pepper. The balsamic finish is clean and sharp, sketched out by aromas of mint, liquorice, laurel and rhubarb. The mouth, according to the nose, offers on one side an acid freshness and on the other side Argentiera’s terroir with a fine mineral and maritime savoury. The body, well balanced, displays a full but elegant structure, along with a velvet tannic weave.
