Balsamic Vinegars

How is balsamic vinegar made?

Tart and bold, balsamic vinegar was first discovered in Italy in 1046. The raw ingredients are Trebibiano or Lambrusco grapes. They are pressed and then the sweet juice is slowly cooked. This thick syrup is then aged in barrels for at least 12 years. The best balsamic vinegars are aged for even longer.
