What types of rosé wine are there?

The type of rosé wine depends on the grape used and the time it takes to make it.

In ancient Greece, rosé wine was made by mixing white and red grapes. In the 21st century, Italian winemakers use red wine grapes such as Pinot Noir or Nebbiolo. Their juices and skins are left together for hours or days, rather than the weeks or months needed for red wine.
