White Wines

Which white wine grapes grow in Italy?

Pinot Grigio is probably the best known Italian white wine grape. However, Italy has many growing conditions from the Alps of the north to sun-baked Sicily. Vermentino grapes are at home in Sardinia and the coast of Tuscany. Cortese grapes create the crisp, light white wines of the Gavi region. We also recommend trying the richer-tasting white wines made from Fiano grapes.
